Following our trip to Italy, we wanted to adapt the famous tiramisu recipe, this classic Italian coffee-based dessert, with local products and by simplifying the stages of execution. Here is what we offer:
Ingredients :
- 2 François Lambert maple waffles
- 150g 5% Greek yogurt
- 150g cream cheese
- 100ml of Start-up coffee brewed then cooled or François Lambert cold brew coffee
- 50ml maple syrup (plus a little for serving)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for sprinkling
Instructions :
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, cream cheese, maple syrup and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
-
Crumble the maple waffles into large pieces.
-
Quickly dip the waffle pieces into the cooled coffee.
-
Distribute the soaked waffle pieces at the bottom of 4 verrines or small serving bowls.
-
Spread a generous portion of the yogurt and cream cheese mixture over the waffle pieces in each verrine.
-
Sprinkle lightly with cocoa powder.
-
Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.
-
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 1-2 hours for a firmer consistency.
This is an express dessert, inspired by Italy but with a nice Quebec touch. Enjoy this delicious fusion of flavors!
