  • 1 can of 400g chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 medium cucumber, finely diced

  • 50g raisins
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or the juice of a lemon or lime for a tangy variant)
  • 1 tablespoon of our black garlic and maple sugar BBQ spices
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation :

  1. Start by preparing the couscous according to the instructions on the package. Once cooked, fluff it with a fork and let it cool.

  2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, cucumber, tomatoes, bell pepper and raisins.

  3. Prepare the vinaigrette by mixing the olive oil, cider vinegar (or lemon or lime juice), black garlic and maple sugar BBQ spices, salt and pepper.

  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well so that all the ingredients are well coated.

  5. Once the couscous has cooled, add it to the vegetable mixture and mix well.

  6. Let the salad rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. This will allow the flavors to blend well.
