Coleslaw: A classic revisited with deliciousness and sophistication. Discover how to transform a humble side dish into the star of your table with creative and tasty twists.

A Little Journey Through Time

Coleslaw has its roots in ancient times, when cabbage was seasoned with vinegar. The term "koolsla" was born in the Netherlands in the 18th century, kool meaning cabbage and sla meaning salad. Over time, this simple preparation was enriched with various ingredients, traveling to the United States where it adopted its current name and form. Today, it is reinventing itself in our kitchens, proving its ability to transform and adapt to modern trends and palates.

Variations on the same theme

Although traditionally served as an accompaniment to dishes such as grilled meats and sandwiches, coleslaw has earned its letters of nobility, being able to easily constitute a complete meal. The variations are endless, allowing everyone to adapt the recipe to their tastes. By adding proteins such as grilled chicken, tofu, or legumes, and dried fruits or nuts for crunch, coleslaw transforms into a nourishing and balanced dish.

Coleslaw Reinvented

For this recipe, we chose to pair the crunch and freshness of cabbage with a creamy maple and poppy seed dressing, adding sweetness and character.
