CAFÉ EN GRAINS - description of the work by the artist

Collaboration between Artist / Veteran Gilles Boudreault and Café Steel Pot
Gilles was born in Mascouche, a small town north of Montreal, QC. Very early on, he demonstrated an ability to draw with ease. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces where he served for over 21 years.
After his service, he focused on advancing his skills as an Plein-Air artist working primarily with oil and acrylic. Over time, his passion for portraiture grew stronger and the desire to capture human emotions became the main focus of his art.
Gilles has completed several portrait commissions to date with the ultimate goal of capturing an emotional side of the subject. Painting people in various situations is an extremely difficult process which helps to advance skills as an artist.
