Overturned apple and karamel fleur de sel cake

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup peeled and diced apples
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • karamel fleur de sel
  • Preheat the oven to 350 f.
  • In a bowl, combine half the butter and the brown sugar.
  • Spread the mixture at the bottom of a 9-inch pan..
  • Evenly dice the apples
  • In a bowl, beat the rest of the butter and the sugar for 2 minutes with an electric mixer. Add the eggs and whisk well until the mixture is smooth..
  • In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder together and incorporate it into the mixture, alternating with the milk. 
  • Pour into the pan over the apples.
  • Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.e.
  • Take out of the oven and overturn on a plate.
  • Let cool for about 10 minutes and pour thekaramel on the cake.
